In the early month of May, 2021 as I was shopping for material to make mask, I came across these two words- Just Pray. Upon reading it I thought to myself,” wow”, we truly serve a personal God, a God who is in the details of our lives. It was a great reminder to me because I was battling with depression and juggling with some much confusion. Life felt so heavy and these two words really marked my soul. I began to ask myself, Am I praying enough? Am I praying correctly? Despite the discouragement I prayed and I worshiped.
About a month later, during Sunday service on June 14, 2020, I remember my pastor mentioned that in order to live a life that God has called us to live we have to be people who: 1) Just (Just- people) 2) Pray (people of prayer) this way we can live a righteous life, in doing so our life will glorify God.
During quarantine the depression and anxiety escalated so much in our country and I prayed, I learned the importance of prayer. I am firm believer that Prayer truly changes things! I have seen God's faithfulness and in His timing he answers prayers. No matter what you’re feeling, whether its anxiety, depression, sadness, hurt, anger, confusion, worry, or if it's in a season of joy, happiness, or thanksgiving…
